With the file SC_PPT365_2021_7a_FirstLastName_2.pptx open, ensure that
your first and last name is displayed in the presenter notes on Slide 1.
If the presenter notes do not display your name, delete the file and download a

PROJECT STEPS
- As the executive director of the Maple Island Arts Council, you have developed a
presentation showcasing the organization’s activities over the past quarter
century. Begin by inserting a hyperlink from “Celebrates” on Slide 1 to Slide 11
in the presentation. - On Slide 2 (“Who Are We?”), edit the hyperlink on “priorities” so that it goes to
Slide 10 (“Our Priorities”). - On Slide 3 (“With a Lot of Help from Our Friends!”), edit hyperlink on the purple
Go to End Action Button so that it goes to the last slide in the presentation. - On Slide 4 (“What We Do”), use the content placeholder to insert a new
SmartArt diagram using the Radial Cluster layout in the Cycle category, and
then add data as follows:
a. Show the SmartArt Text Pane, if it is not displayed.
b. Enter text in the SmartArt Text Pane as shown in Figure 1.

- With Slide 4 (“What We Do”) still displaying, continue to build and format the
SmartArt diagram:
a. Move “Organize Music Concerts” below “Host the Writers’ Festival”.
b. Add Run Art Classes as a bullet under “Organize Music Concerts”.
c. Apply the Cartoon SmartArt 3D SmartArt Style.
d. Change the SmartArt colors to Colorful – Accent Colors.
e. Change the height of the SmartArt diagram to 4.4″. - On Slide 5 (“Operate the Maple Island Art Gallery”), use the content placeholder
to insert the video file Support_PPT365_2021_7a_Gallery.mp4 and then
modify the video as follows:
a. Apply the Soft Edge Oval Video Style.
b. Change the video Volume to Low.
c. Select the option to rewind the video after playing it. - On Slide 6 (“Host the Annual Maple Island Writers’ Festival”), make the pink oval
shape a hyperlink to the file Support_PPT365_2021_7a_Schedule.docx. - With Slide 6 (“Host the Annual Maple Island Writers’ Festival”) still displaying,
edit the hyperlink to add Click to open the current festival’s schedule as
the ScreenTip. - On Slide 7 (“Organize Music Concerts”), reset the picture to its original settings.
- With Slide 7 (“Organize Music Concerts”) still displaying, format the SmartArt
diagram as follows:
a. Add two new shapes to the SmartArt.
b. Insert the picture file Support_PPT365_2021_7a_Classical.jpg into the
first new shape.
c. Insert the picture file Support_PPT365_2021_7a_Folk.jpg into the
second new shape.
d. Show the SmartArt Text Pane.
e. Add the caption Jazz to the left shape, Classical to the middle shape, and
Folk to the right shape.
f. Close the SmartArt Text Pane.
- With Slide 7 (“Organize Music Concerts”) still displaying, insert the audio clip file
Support_PPT365_2021_7a_Music.mp3, and then modify it as follows:
a. Position the audio clip at the bottom of the slide centered between the
footer and the placeholder for the slide number.
b. Trim the audio clip so that it stops at approximately 00:08.000.
c. Change the audio clip Start option to Automatically.
d. Select the Play Across Slides audio option.
e. Rewind the audio clip after playing.
f. Loop the audio clip until stopped.
g. Change the audio Volume to Medium.
h. Hide the audio clip object during the slide show. - On Slide 8 (“Run Art Classes”), change the picture to
Support_PPT365_2021_7a_Child.jpg, and enhance the picture as follows:
a. Resize the picture so that its height is exactly 5″.
b. Position the picture approximately in the middle of the slide.
c. Change the brightness and contrast of the picture to Brightness: 0%
(Normal) Contrast: +20%.
d. Change the color saturation of the picture to 200%.
e. Flip the picture Horizontally. - On Slide 9 (“Other Activities”), remove the hyperlink from “special events”.
- On Slide 11 (“Let’s Celebrate!”), insert the video file
Support_PPT365_2021_7a_Fireworks.mp4 without using a content
placeholder, and then modify the video as follows:
a. Resize the video proportionally so that its height is 3″.
b. Position the video in the lower-right corner of the slide so that it does not
cover any of the text.
c. Trim the video so that it stops at approximately 00:5.000.
d. Add a video poster frame using the file
Support_PPT365_2021_7a_Art.jpg.
e. Start the video when it is clicked on.
f. Select the option to play the video full screen. - With Slide 11 (“Let’s Celebrate!”) still displaying, make the pink star hyperlinked
so that returns to Slide 1 of the presentation.
